About Us
Who We Are
Welcome to Albury Small Bore Rifle Club, where passion and precision meet camaraderie and community. Started in 1953, with the aim of fostering a safe and supportive environment, we pride ourselves on being more than just a shooting range. Our club is a tight-knit family of enthusiasts, ranging from novices eager to learn, to seasoned veterans honing their skills. Nestled in the heart of Albury, our facilities offer a range of equipment (including ammunition, club rifles, electronic and paper targets, prone, bench, and air rifle ranges) and experienced instructors dedicated to helping members reach their full potential. Whether you're drawn to competitive shooting, recreational target practice, or simply enjoy the art of marksmanship, our club provides the perfect setting to pursue your passion. Beyond the range, we host a variety of social events, working bees, competitions and presentation nights, creating opportunities for members to forge lasting friendships and share their love for the sport.
Disciplines
Air Rifle
10m
Shot over a distance of 10m, air rifle is truly about precision. It is shot from either a freestanding position or with assistance from a rifle rest aiming at a target no wider than a 50c coin!
Benchrest
20m
50m
Benchrest is the most accurate of the 3 disciplines that we shoot. With the rifle fully supported on a bench, it is up to the shooter to refine their technique while keeping an eye out for the wind.
Prone
20m
50m
This is the position most people think of when they hear 'target rifle.' Shooters lay on the ground using only their arms to support the weight of the rifle while shooting at distances over 50m!
